Late evening interview with the inventor of the Running Speakers
I got a lot of questions about the Running Speakers, so I went to the home office of Jeff Streeter, the inventor, for a late evening interview last Friday. He took time to show us the speakers, but there’s more than that.
He talked to us about the speakers and even what motivated him to get started. It’s fun to hear his story about what prompted him to come up with the running speakers.

Good idea but really to cumbersome for me. I currently use my Verizon cell phone (just under 4oz) that offers more features and a lot less hassle. If you are up for an upgrade, Google the PN-820, offers sd memory card slot, phone, cam, high speed data, and built in speaker with windows media player pre-loaded. Speaker is good enough when worn on belt or arm you can hear it. You can also get blue tooth devices (speakers and headphones) that work with it wireless. It’s not the perfect solution but it works for me. I also like having the added comfort of a phone if something should happen.

I ordered a set!!! Spent 5 hours searching the net for all the possibilities for portable speakers. Can’t wait to get them and use them. I use a camelback on my mountain bike and these will function absolutely perfect with it. I have yet to see anything better then this solution. I can’t stand earbuds and definitely want to listen to some jams while mountain biking.
Cumbersome? I haven’t even received mine and yet it’s obvious this is by far the least cumbersome solution anyone can think of. Once mounted on the straps, the wires can be ziptied and tucked away neat and nice. Won’t be anything whatsoever swinging around your neck and ears or hanging loose to snag branches or whatever. Absolutely awesome concept, can’t believe there aren’t a huge competitive market for this type of setup.
They can be used for kayaking, biking, running and I’m even going to try them while motorcycling.
Man, I’m getting more anxious to receive mine as I type this.
